Welcome to Austin Classical Guitar’s new home!

In the summer of 2021, after many years occupying a modest office space in northwest Austin, we packed up and moved across town to the Baker Center, a historic converted school building in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Then we rolled up our sleeves and got busy! Together with Alamo Drafthouse founders Tim & Karrie League and an amazing team of architects, contractors, acoustic engineers, and designers, we spent six months working to transform the space into a welcoming, versatile, and totally distinctive arts venue and event space we are calling The Rosette.

The Rosette is named after the decorative mosaic design that encircles the sound hole of every classical and acoustic guitar. It is a theme that echoes throughout the space, most dramatically in a 60-inch custom wood inlay embedded in the floor of our main lounge and gallery.

Much of the action at The Rosette happens in the black box-style theater space, which can be adapted to accommodate a wide range of programming – live concerts of course, but also rehearsals, classes, recording sessions, theater, lectures, receptions, and more.

Our highest goal for our new home is that it will be your home too. Whether you’re here attending a concert or watching it online, taking a class or rehearsing with an ensemble, volunteering, exploring our music library, participating in our teaching summit, recording a college audition video, our hope is that you will experience kindness and welcoming each time you visit.

In addition to serving as the home for ACG events and programming, The Rosette is also available for rentals! For more information visit https://www.rosetteatx.org/.
