I hope you were able to join us last week for the spectacle… the splendor… the completely spellbinding event that was The Unknown! The evening was met with critical acclaim, most notably in a glowing review by Jeanne Claire van Ryzin which you can read here!

If you were’t able to join us last Friday, we’re sad we missed you! But thanks to the Alamo Drafthouse, you can still see a great video that, I believe, perfectly captures the magical feeling of the whole night. If you did come out to the beautiful Laguna Gloria estate, relive the whole experience! : Alamo Video

The Austin Chronicle previewed the event here, giving some great insight into the process and vision of the event. Also in preview of the show, Les Freres Meduses (the duo that wrote the stunning score for the film) and I along with Tim League of the Alamo Drafthouse sat down with Rebecca McInroy to talk about the project on KUT’s Views and Brews lecture series. You can listen to the entire hour-long interview and even watch Les Freres perform the first 10 minutes of the score! Check it out! The duo even did a radio spot with John Aielli!

Of course, please enjoy these photos from the event courtesy of Jack Plunkett (who photographed for the Alamo), and Arlen Nydam (the last stunning photo below).
