Norma Hawes
Office Manager
As Office Manager, Norma Hawes is responsible for keeping the office organized and clean, answering the phone, updating the music library and guitar inventory, and coordinating ACG performances in retirement communities.
Norma is a retired public school elementary music teacher, and became involved with ACG in the 90’s as an avid classical guitar fan and audience member.
In 2011 she received teacher training from ACG, was wowed by the ACG curriculum. and immediately implemented a guitar program for her 5th graders. After her retirement in 2014, she became a member of the ACG Choir ensemble, and is still active in that group. She started working for ACG in the early fall of 2021, so she was able to witness the exciting construction of the Rosette.
Norma received her BA in Music and Music Ed Certification from the University of Houston. She is also a certified Kodaly and Orff instructor.
