Fish Town by Kel Brown

Nicaraguan guitarist Dr. Isaac Bustos’ soulful artistry has taken him all over the world as a solo performer and as part of the Grammy-nominated Texas Guitar Quartet.

As one of our favorite collaborators, Isaac has premiered groundbreaking ACG projects including The Lodger, i/we, dream and together and has performed on nearly every one of our concert series. He has worked with renowned artists such as Conspirare Choir, Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, legendary Mexican cellist Carlos Prieto, composers Peter Lieuwen and Nico Muhly as well as orchestras in North and Central America. Isaac’s solo albums, Canciones A Mi Madre and Caprichos y Sonatas, are beloved by fans and critically acclaimed.

A devoted teacher, Isaac is the Head of Guitar Studies at the University of Texas – San Antonio and is the Artistic Director of the Southwest Guitar Symposium.
