WORKSHOPS AT THE ROSETTE

FRETBOARD MASTERY with Evan Taucher

Session 1: Tuesday, September 6th, 7-8pm (5:30 session is filled)
Session 2: Tuesday, September 13th, 7-8pm
Session 3: Tuesday, September 20th, 7-8pm
Session 4: Tuesday, September 27th, 7-8pm

For guitarists, developing an intimate knowledge of the fingerboard is vital. While shapes and patterns can be our friends, they can also lock us into musical boxes that are hard to break out of.

In this class, we will methodically break down the fingerboard together and apply our understanding directly to musical passages. By the end of the four sessions you will be able to:

  • Locate notes quickly across the fingerboard
  • Build chords anywhere along the neck
  • Creatively explore and unlock fingerings to better express your musical ideas

Participants will be given PDF’s of the exercises covered each week with recommendations for daily practice, and can take part in an open email discussion to ask questions, exchange ideas, and share progress.

We hope to see you there!
