Derek McSween

Derek McSween is a Program Director for HPM in Team Leadership, Strategic Planning, and Operational Excellence. He is an executive leader and subject matter expert possessing extraordinary skills in leading all aspects of program sales and operations. A strong background in assembling and leading highly skilled teams through the delivery of hands-on leadership and consistent training. A proven track record of being an effective communicator, thought leader and a “seller/doer,” implementing new improvements and processes which drive sales, cost control and efficiency. Skilled in maintaining complete compliance with all requirements and expectations as the owner’s representative and corporate team leader.

Recent projects include leading the executive team in the strategic development of two winning RFQ proposals, and winning interview presentations, for a $508 Million CIP Bond Program at Round Rock ISD and a $280 Million CIP Bond Program at Manor ISD, and end-to-end project management for all new construction projects for the world’s largest high-tech hydroponic farm (650 acres) and directed the launch of a new Construction Division for Parabel Inc. in Vero Beach Florida.

Derek is also a professional public speaker and past president of Toastmasters.  He has trained both seasoned professionals and young leaders from around the globe, on the art of effective public speaking and delivering powerful presentations.
