The Austin Classical Guitar Society is delighted to present three wonderful summertime concerts in conjunction with some of Austin’s finest arts organizations. Please join the Austin Classical Guitar Society and our wonderful partners for these exciting events, each of which reflects the unique character of its host.
Salon Concerts presents a marvelous chamber music concert series in elegant private homes each year with delicious catered buffets that make for unforgettable evenings. Salon Concerts is also active in the community through its CHAMPS program bringing musical excellence to Austin’s youth. Our concerts with Salon Concerts will feature a Salon Concerts string Quartet with prominent Austin-area guitarists Steve Kostelnik and Tony Morris and friends at the elegant Laguna Gloria Art Museum where wine and desserts will follow the show.
The Austin Chamber Music Center (ACMC) holds an extensive festival and workshop each summer for students of all ages. Students learn from distinguished faculty and guest artists, collaborate with each other, and attend myriad concerts. ACMC has an academy, several concert series and in-school community programs for continued participation and enjoyment year-round. The Aurora Guitar Quartet of Baltimore is sure to impress in the dynamic atmosphere of the Austin Chamber Music Center’s Summer Festival and Workshop in the Helm Fine Arts Center at St. Stephen’s School.
The St. Cecilia Music Series invites distinguished guests from near and far for varied concerts throughout the year in the lovely sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church. Ending the series, the Jones-McKee guitar duo will present an intimate and varied program of music through the ages for two guitars.
