Guitars Galore Festival - April 20th, 2013

The Guitars Galore Festival is a relaxed, one-day event for classical guitar ensembles.  Groups from around the Southwest meet, perform for each other, and perform together in a finale with more than 100 players.  Any classical guitar ensemble with two or more players is invited to participate.  Middle school, high school, college, and community-based ensembles are welcome.

Each group will present a brief showcase performance, and all participants are invited to play in the finale.  2013 finale selections include the winning entry of the 2013 Composition Competition for Texas-Based Composers, Kristina Avila's Koi Out to Sea, and Variations on La Folia by Fernando Sor (arr. Travis Marcum).  All Guitars Galore participants are invited to attend the Ana Vidovic concert following the finale.

Registration for Guitars Galore is now closed.  We are honored to be joined by the following groups for the 2013 Guitars Galore Festival:

ACGS Guitar Choir
ACGS Guitar Ensemble
Dallas Fort Worth Guitar Orchestra
Harding Fine Arts Academy
Katherine Anne Porter School
Laredo Community College
San Antonio College Guitar Ensemble
